MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO and now in Cape Town South Africa!
You’ll be joining our dynamic People Team, focusing on our expansion within the South African market. We are a collaborative group dedicated to finding talent that doesn't just fill a seat but adds to our unique MAKE IT culture as we expand in South Africa.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our talent strategy for the region. You’ll bring your expertise in the South African labour market to lead end-to-end recruitment for a range of specialised roles, ensuring a smooth, values-driven hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
You thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. While your primary focus will be specialised hiring in South Africa, you’re flexible enough to jump in wherever the team needs you—whether that’s supporting lower-level roles, assisting with coordinator-level processes, or helping to keep things running smoothly during busy periods. We’re a small, collaborative People Team, and being willing to flex across levels is a big part of how we make it all work.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Directly challenge traditional hiring methods by implementing innovative ways to successfully recruit hard to fill roles in the local market.
- Data-Informed Decisions: Interpret recruitment data and market risks to make informed decisions on hiring strategies and candidate pipelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to break down complex hiring needs into defined milestones and timeframes.
- Process Innovation: Seek out diverse perspectives to produce workable strategies for high-competition roles, such as software development or renewable energy.
- Candidate Experience: Role-model a culture of continuous feedback, ensuring candidates receive transparent and timely updates throughout their journey.
About You
- Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of the South African and specifically in Cape Town’s recruitment landscape, including NQF frameworks and current Employment Equity legislation.
- Network-Builder: You’re proactive in building and nurturing strong local networks. Whether it’s industry events, online communities, university partnerships, or grassroots talent hubs, you know how to show up, connect, and find good talent.
- Detail-Obsessed: You believe Every Detail Counts when it comes to the quality of candidate data and process integrity.
- Collaborative Spirit: Proven ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and guide team members through complex and high volume hiring cycles.
- Adaptability: You are flexible in your approach, open to new ideas, and comfortable navigating an uncertain, fast-paced environment and okay to flex down when needed.
