Business Overview
The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the foundation of technology. Within TMD, the Corporate IT Supervisory Department (CITD) drives Rakuten Group’s global corporate IT services and infrastructure. Our mission is to empower Rakuten through innovative and secure IT solutions that enhance efficiency and foster productivity.
Department Overview
Corporate IT Service Department (CITSD) supports the Rakuten Group through innovative and secure IT solutions that improve efficiency and productivity. CITSD is responsible for enterprise application management for core business functions, driving business process automation and digital transformation through IT platforms, providing comprehensive end-user and operational support, and optimizing IT processes that underpin a wide range of critical services and platforms. In addition, CITSD incorporates AI technologies - such as generative AI and AI agents - to enhance support capabilities, including faster issue triage, improved knowledge discovery, and more efficient operations, helping business teams reduce workload while improving service quality.
The Business IT Platform Section is responsible for planning and driving the enterprise IT platform that supports internal business operations. Our scope includes the standardization and deployment of cloud services, implementation of productivity-enhancing applications, data integration with core internal ERP systems, and a strong focus on the development and application of AI technologies. As a central part of the company’s IT strategy, we collaborate across departments to build a secure, stable, and user-friendly next-generation IT environment.

Lead the Salesforce CoE team and shared platform operations as a Team Leader, owning the strategy and roadmap. Ensure secure, high-quality delivery, establish clear operating rhythms and governance, and drive adoption of Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud), including AI-driven efficiency initiatives.
Position Details
Platform operations & enhancement leadership:
- Lead the Salesforce CoE’s day-to-day platform operations and continuous enhancements end-to-end; owning the operating model, roadmap execution, and release/change cadence; defining clear roles/responsibilities and governance; prioritizing and delivering enhancements while maintaining stability, security, and service quality; and driving adoption of Sales Cloud/Service Cloud, including AI-driven efficiency initiatives.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders; manage vendor performance and contract compliance; ensure delivery governance across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience leading projects involving 10+ stakeholders (business, development, operations, vendors, etc.), covering end-to-end delivery, not only implementation (Build) but also operational design through transition/handover to operations (Run).
- 5+ years of experience leading technical studies and project delivery in Salesforce implementations (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud).
- 5+ years hands-on Salesforce engineering experience (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud).
- Experience collaborating with business & technology leaders (incl. senior leadership).
- Language skills: Japanese (business level), English (TOEIC 800 or above)
Desired Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications (Developer, Sales Cloud/Service Cloud Consultant, etc.).
- Global project leadership with multinational/offshore teams.
- Experience defining governance/operating model and scaling CoE practices across multiple orgs.
