Business Overview

The Marketing Division leads brand, creative, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services.

We believe that the mobile domain is a platform that plays a fundamental role in the ecosystem, and as the Marketing Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.

Department Overview

Marketing Planning Department is an organization that leads the planning of Rakuten Mobile's plans and product strategies and their implementation.

Service Design Department is in charge of defining requirements, responding to inquiries from each department, and leading projects as they arise.

The UAT Management Team is to lead quality validation from the user's perspective and ensure successful system implementation aligned with business requirements. Acting as a bridge among stakeholders, the team drives test execution and contributes to continuous quality improvement.

Why We Hire

We have consistently focused on quality control throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in system implementation projects. While our current practices have yielded positive results, we are now aiming to further enhance productivity and drive process improvements within the team.

We are looking for a candidate who can take a leadership role in managing the UAT Management Team, coordinating with stakeholders, and building a more efficient and high-quality UAT structure. In addition, the person in this role will be expected to take ownership of issue management during the testing phase, working closely with relevant teams to ensure effective resolution.

Position Details

The UAT Management Team is responsible for driving the entire User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process—from planning and execution to analysis and reporting of test results. Key responsibilities include reviewing test scenarios and cases, preparing the test execution framework, analyzing outcomes, and managing issues (bugs or discrepancies) that arise during testing, ensuring quality and efficient execution throughout the process.

In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including project owners, internal and external development teams, and QA teams. You will facilitate smooth communication and help resolve issues during UAT. Additionally, you will play a key role in continuously improving test processes and execution frameworks, contributing to overall project quality and operational excellence.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in supporting UAT or business-side testing in system development or implementation projects

- Experience in test progress management or coordinating tasks among multiple team members

- Experience in negotiating and coordinating with stakeholders who have differing interests

- Ability to oversee the progress and issues of multiple projects from a high-level perspective

- Business English (Intermediate English proficiency)

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in team management or leadership, particularly within testing or project teams

- Experience in initiatives related to process improvement and quality enhancement

- Familiarity with test and issue management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Redmine

- Certifications related to software testing

- Hands-on experience in Agile or Waterfall development projects

- Experience working in the telecom industry

- Experience proposing initiatives and providing support to the corporate management, as well as experience meeting facilitation

- Knowledge of telecommunications technology
