Incubation Office is a department that launches, develops and promotes new businesses within Rakuten Group. You can work in an in-house venture-like environment on the scale of a large corporation. The Store AI Solutions Section launched a new service, Rakuten Secure Signage, safety-signage.rakuten.co.jp on June 4, 2025. We have just started as a business to establish a presence in the retail media area, a market that is expected to grow steadily in the future. This is an ideal environment for those who have the mindset of wanting to think independently and promote business.

Position Details

Retail/AI/PM

On-site initiative to solve problems. Empowering stores with the power of technology. We are looking for a project manager for a new service.

In this position, you will be responsible for project promotion in the following three main areas.

- Project management for in-store installation of AI cameras and signage equipment (60%):

In collaboration with external SIers and vendors, you will manage a series of progression from design, construction, delivery, and verification.

- Promote planning and development of new services (20%):

You will be involved in creating new value in the retail and crime prevention areas in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

- Customer success support for PoC clients (20%):

For some clients, follow-up after implementation and support for data utilization will be provided.

Work Environment

Currently, there is a 5 member team consisting of 1 business manager and 4 subordinates.

Each company has its own background, including major telecommunications, food wholesalers, manufacturers, financial institutions, and consultants.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following

- At least 2 years of experience managing production and construction projects

* Experience in the field of sales promotion (SP) is a plus

- At least 2 years of experience in project management of telecommunication facilities and infrastructure

- At least 2 years of project management experience in delivery of some type of physical service to retail stores

Desired Qualifications:

- Knowledge and experience in retail/trade marketing

- Knowledge and experience in sales promotion/advertising area

- Experience in the security services industry

- Experience in project promotion at consulting firms, etc.
